Managed Hosting Provider’s Revenues Skyrocket

Managed web hosting provider, Datapipe, recently reported their revenues are gaining momentum. The company has published that their second quarter of 2011 revenue has exceeded the entire revenue for 2009. This is impressive for the company who appears to be hitting all the right business milestones.

DataPipe Accolades

Recently named to the Gartner Magic Quadrant because of its Cloud IaaS and web hosting services, DataPipe has plans to triple the capacity of their data centers in London and double the capacity in their New Jersey location. Also, they will be expanding their San Jose, California and Hong Kong data footprints. The company was also recently awarded the HP AllianceOne Partner of the Year in the Innovative Partner – Service.

Company Objectives

Executives have reported that their most important overall goal is to continue to expand. Currently the company operates six data center and is a primary provider of managed hosting, managed storage and managed security to over 1,100 clients in the United States, Asian and the United Kingdom.

Managed Hosting Services

DataPipe began offering managed web hosting services in November 2010 and has seen an explosion of customers since that time that want managed hosting. The cloud computing services are designed specifically for use with Amazon Web Services (AMS). Theoretically the cloud service will allow channeling partners to migrate their customer’s critical IT applications into the Amazon service.

Funding of the Expansion

To fund all this scheduled expansion, DataPipe secured $176 million in equity and financing in May 2011. Therefore, since they have the money in place, the only step is to break ground on the expansion efforts which are sure to improve current service and add new products to their lineup.

DataPipe Company Information

DataPipe is a single hosting provider for the management and security of information technology services. Prior to adding new accounts, they consult with the customer helping them to realize their potential by controlling their data through the performance of DataPipe’s network and overall server management experience. The company reacts quickly to solve urgent problems while understanding the requirements of a continually changing industry.

The scheduled expansion of DataPipe services is extremely important. With the procurement of a huge chunk of change, the company should be able to significantly expand their client base and add new services when technology emerges. Look for DataPipe to become a major managed hosting player in the future.
