EnteraCloud to Launch Colocation Services

EnteraCloud, a leading web hosting provider, recently announced its plans to launch private virtual colocation services while opening a new data center in Rancho Bernardo, California; a suburb of San Diego. The new colocation service will enable information technology professionals to expand their network with maintaining a high level of performance and security.

Advantages of the New Colocation Facility

The new colocation solution will also offer increased availability, simplified budgeting, reduced server startup time and management overhead and an in-house disaster recovery feature. All these features will be backed by around-the-clock physical security and technical support personnel.

EnteraCloud’s Success Methods

EnteraCloud has been a successful cloud web hosting provider and the launch of their new colocation service will add to their repertoire of products. Their success has been based on building their products on branded hardware and software provided by well-known and reliable vendors while backing it with the continuous monitoring of reliable and secure facilities.

Colocation Service Advantages

The new service will be based on cloud computing technology and developed using the company’s carrier-grade Internet connectivity. The infrastructure allows for low latency and high quality user experience which maximizes uptime. Furthermore, the service can assist firms with passing critical audits like SAS70, HIPPA, ISO and Sarbanes-Oxley.

Data Center Specifications

EnteraCloud’s primary data center is located at the Phoenix NAP facility which was recently approved for a loan from Bank of America. This will fund the next phase of construction in addition to future expansion. The new Rancho Bernardo facility will be an 88,000-square foot SAS 70 Type II compliant facility that has been designed with a variety of green features and advanced cooling technology.

The air filtration system utilizes external air to cool the location. This is activated when the air quality hits a specific level of humidity and temperature to ensure the equipment is protected from the elements. The provider stated that it plans to initially move around 100 customers to its new data center once complete. This decision will follow the January choice to move its corporate headquarters to Carlsbad.

The addition of a new data center and subsequent service is expected to significantly increase the number of customers. Colocation hosting is a popular type for businesses of all sizes, in all industries that do not have the space to store equipment. Expect to see other services from EnteraCloud in the future.
