Stay away. Customer support via chat is uncapable of providing real solutions and service tickets are dealt veeery slowly. They are completely unsensitive when it comes to understanding your problems. When having problems with my email serve (one of the many times) they just said "delete all accounts (500+) and create them again" when I said that wasn't practical they just answered "then open a ticket". STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
My site goes down on a weekly basis. I always get weak excuses from Host Monster and finally informed that I'd have to seek an alternate host company should this continue. Their reply was simply 'ok' and to see their cancellation policy. They really do not care. My conversation with someone called mbautista ended with him ignoring me for a long time. I was polite from beginning to end and have a copy of the conversation! stay clear of them!
I've dealt with Hostmonster for a long time. Forget about calling for support. It's a service that one should know what your putting yourself into. I've been very successful. Well, because i know what im doing. I suggest everyone, if you feel that bad with support this company may not be your choice, but i will guarantee you that, if you know what your doing and is capable of achieving it, Hostmonster will not affect you. It's a hosting for the more and understanding non-novices of the rest. In other words, CPANEL is my God. If it wasn't for CPanel i wouldnt even use Hostmonster. Get a hosting with Cpanel, and you wont have a problem. My only concern with Hostmoster is that sometimes my website takes a few seconds more then it should to load. Believe me i noticed, cuz other times it just flies in. Hostmoster, if your reading this, i tried to defend you guys. You guys are the only hosting ive used the past 5 years.
