Used about a year. About 25% of the time I access my site, either directly or through CPanel my account is frozen 1 to 5 minutes at a time. Daily situation. After many contacts with support, I'm always told that they see no problem, & it must be either my router or my ISP. I've taken steps to insure this isn't the case,including using different computers with different ISP's, having different people try at the same time from different parts of the country, and using proxy servers. The down time is consistent, at the same times, no matter what access point is used. However bluehost refuses to acknowledge any problems on their end. This amount of downtime is completely unacceptable for any business application. How many times have you gone to a site that froze for 30 seconds plus and just moved on and never returned? This site only montitors 3 sites from bluehost, which for a shared host with hundreds of servers and many sites per server, means nothing.
I have had my sites on Bluehost for a year now and have had excellent results. Very seldom has the site been down and if it is the down time is a few minutes. Their online tech support is very responsive and when I have an issue they walk me through it or do it for me. My experience has been great.
Ever since we've moved to bluehost we get random "connection interrupted" errors in outlook. This never happened with our old hosting... You get what you pay for! I spent over 20 minutes waiting for tech support on "live chat" and the only thing I got for it was "let me take a look, one moment please" then no follow up and a disconnect. If you have a need for time critical communications via email you may want to look elsewhere.

I've been with BlueHost for a few years now and RARELY have problems. I've referrred many people to BlueHost during that time and they, too, have had great success. And when I do have problems or site downtime, I simply sign into live chat and can get the problem resolved pretty quickly. The price can't be beat and at some point we had five active domains being run through our account with no issues whatsoever. I can't possibly speak more highly of them - top notch customer service, great value of the money, and rare downtime issues. I only gave them a "4" on uptime because we have had occasional downtime issues. But as I said - they are normally resolved very quickly by customer service.
6 months ago we have moved our blog network to BH. No problem so far.
