Shared Hosting on a Virtual Account

An internet hosting service is a service that runs internet servers. This enables organizations and individuals to publish or serve content on the internet. A web hosting service is a type of internet hosting service that enables individuals and organizations to make their websites accessible via the World Wide Web (www). Web hosts are those companies that own space on the server and provide the same to their clients. These companies also provide internet connectivity, usually in a data center. Alternately, web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the internet, which they do not own or which is not located in their data center, called collocation. Shared web hosting service, also referred to as virtual hosting service, is a service wherein the website of one organization or individual is placed on the same server as many other sites. The number sites that share the server range from a few to hundreds or thousands. Usually all domains share a common pool of server resources, such as RAM and the CPU. Normally when this happens, the user can choose the other option of using the IP address and can report the system. However, the web browser doesn’t know what domain name to send at the server, but it is required for a name based virtual host.
